On Sunday, July 28th, Amarillo police were dispatched to a shots fired call.  Upon arrival, they found 1 man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body.  He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

"July 28, 2013, at approximately 7:30 PM, officers were dispatched to 4418 E. Amarillo Blvd. reference shots fired in the area. As officers were en route to the call, they were updated that one subject was shot. Officers arrived and found a man lying on the ground in a yard near the parking lot.
Officers determined that the man was injured from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The wounded man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The deceased was identified as Alfredo Ruben Cueto, age 24. Evidence at the scene assisted investigators in determining Mr. Cueto was the victim of a homicide. Justice of the Peace Nancy Bosquez has ordered an autopsy which will be performed Tuesday morning in Lubbock Texas. A suspect has not been identified and witnesses are being sought in this crime."
