Amarillo’s Old Logan’s Building Is Becoming a Casual Steakhouse
It wasn't all that long ago when Logan's Roadhouse closed down here in Amarillo. It never seemed to get the best reviews, so it wasn't overly shocking when they closed their doors.
However, it left a gaping hole over there on restaurant row. Lately, there has been some movement on that building. Fencing is around it, and you can see construction going on. So naturally, I had to find out what was going on.

Building Sold Over A Year Ago
Unbeknownst to a lot of us, it turns out that building sold back in January of 2024. It was sold to an investor based out of Lubbock.
As I did a little digging, it traced back to an eye doctor who had several locations in Lubbock, and one coming in Midland. I thought it would be a bit of a strange place for an eye place, considering almost everything there are restaurants.

Building Immediately Leased Out To Someone In Amarillo
I didn't get a response from the doctor I reached out to, but he did see the email as he forwarded it to the realtor who was responsible for the property.
Dale Lewis of Brad Andrews Realty did indeed confirm that it was an investor in Lubbock that purchased the building. He also went on to tell me that a lengthy lease negotiation took place with someone in Amarillo once it was purchased.
What Is The Old Logan's Going To Be
Dale confirmed it was indeed going to be a restaurant that would be opening up. He mentioned it would be "a casual theme steakhouse restaurant with a broad menu selection" that is slated for opening in the next few months after renovations finish up.
I asked if he could tell me the name of the place, and he only confirmed that it wasn't a national chain restaurant, but locally owned. So keep your eyes peeled to see what's coming!
