One of the things that Townsquare Media is honored to do every year is to be a part of the annual Independence Day parade sponsored by the Canyon Chamber of Commerce.

Every 4th of July, we meet at the station at 8:15 am bright and early and carpool down to Canyon. Once we get there, we pull out our "swag" and deck out the cars with patriotic gear.

Once we get the cars decked out, we make sure we have the very best part of our parade appearance ready to go.....the candy.

We make sure we have at least seven or eight big bags stuffed full of candy to toss to the children who swarm the side of the roads through town.

And we're not afraid to put our own kids to work, either.

The parade this year followed the same routine.

It wasn't quite as hot as last year, thankfully. And our staff had a blast going through our big stuffed bags of candy.

We even caught sight of the best 4th of July themed shirt of all time amid the crowd!

And the crowd was absolutely massive.

According to several sources, there were upwards of 30,000 people who visited Canyon, Texas for this year's parade. That's unbelievable.

The event has grown year after year, and we truly look forward to what next year brings.

To everyone who came out, it was lovely to see you! To anyone who may come out next year, we'll see you then!
