Construction Underway On Loop 335 And Arden In Amarillo
The road construction in Amarillo never stops. Some of it is warranted, some of it makes us scratch our heads in pure confusion. For example, where did this construction on Bell come from, and why?
Some areas are just poorly built, or they weren't planning on building anything somewhere. See West Plains High School. My goodness, that is messy over there.
Well, they're doing something about it, and it's going to make it a bit easier to navigate the area without question. They've been doing some work over there lately and it's made it really difficult to move around and get to the school.
A new turnaround is being built between Arden and Hillside on the Loop and it's aimed at alleviating the congestion that has crept up around there. It's also going to enhance safety while providing a new route to West Plains High School.
There will be long deceleration and acceleration lanes so everyone can get up to speed and slow down adequately while helping the traffic flow easily through the area. It should also help with some of the congestion at Hillside.
They are currently underway with the work in the area, and it's expected to be done by early January. Finally, a SHORT project.
