Hey there, Rick Andrews here. I thought I would give you a little background about me. I was born and raised in Bangor, Maine and was bitten by the radio "bug" since the age of 7. By the time I was 14 years old I got my dream job and "cracked the mic" for the first time and have never looked back. My career has taken me from Maine, New York, California and New Mexico. Rick has been described as a "walking encyclopedia" of music info and trivia. When not on the air at Mix 94.1, I enjoy reading entertainment Biographies, Sci-Fi and management books. I also enjoy sketching, painting, drawing and practicing card & coin magic. You usually can find me on the air Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm.

Your First Look At This Year’s Black Friday Ads 2013
I was sitting here this morning thinking 'where has this year gone.'
It's hard to believe that in seven weeks that we will be getting ready to ring in the new year.
For better of worse, Thanksgiving not only marks the day that we sit down with family and friends, carve the turkey and munch on candy yams, but it's also the day that stores will be opening early to kick off the holiday rush. Some of
How To Cope With A Loss Over The Holidays
The holidays are usually associated with families and friends getting together, but there are many people out there that are also dealing with a loss of a loved one, some for the first time.
Let's be honest, no matter what, the holidays can be a very stressful time on any given good day. There's the prepping of food, coordinating family members who may be coming in from out of town, the hustle and
The Mischievous Adventures Of Merry: The Elf On A Shelf [PHOTOS]
Excuse this proud Father as I brag on my eldest Daughter for a moment.
Tabitha is one of the most talented and creative people I know and as much as I would like to take a little bit a credit for that talent I have to admit that it all comes from her Momma.
My Backstage Experience At ‘The Red Tour’ Concert With Taylor Swift [VIDEO]
I had the chance last week to head to Tulsa, OK to see Taylor Swift on 'The Red Tour,' and I have to tell you it was amazing.
I've liked most of Taylor's songs, but decided that I really wanted to see what she was like live. I was not disappointed.
One of the perks of being in radio is that I have opportunities, from time to time, to go backstage and meet a performer. Luckily, this was one of thos
Should Casino Gambling Be Legalized In Texas? [POLL]
I know that the question of 'should casino gambling be legalized in Texas?' is a pretty much yes or no answer. Not many people sit on the fence on this issue, but after spending some time in a couple of states that have casino gambling (New Mexico and Maine) I've learned a few of the benefits it can bring with it.
Could Bruno Mars Be The Next ‘King Of Pop?’ [POLL]
Could Bruno Mars be the heir apparent to the title of 'King of Pop?'
Now, don't get mad at me. Nobody can replace the talent and achievements of Michael Jackson and his body of work, but I think Bruno could carry the torch and would be a great successor.
4 Easy Card Trick Decks For A Budding Young Magician [VIDEOS]
Recently a friend of mine told me that his granddaughter was getting interested in magic.
He asked if I knew of any tricks that were available for a young budding new magician.
Since magic is one of my hobbies, I knew a pretty good amount of some of the self-working tricks and a few that need minimal setup.
The cool thing is that tricks I'll mention are inexpensive and almost anyone can perform th
“Ice Ice Baby’ As ‘Sung’ By 280 Movies: Be First To Watch This Before It Goes Viral [VIDEO]
Either the creator of this video has way too much time on their hands or they are a genius. I prefer the latter. From what I understand this took over three months to make, but it is BRILLIANT!
