Last month mother Michelle Hickman, was breastfeeding her infant son in Target when asked to take it to a fitting room.  Well that prompted breastfeeding mothers across the country to rally together and make a statement.

Last month Michelle Hickman was feeding her infant son inside of a Target store when employees told her to feed him in a fitting room.  So what was the problem?  Well Hickman was breastfeeding.  Of course, she had her baby and breast covered with a blanket.  Still employees surrounded her and made her finish up in private.  They also suggested that she be cited with indecent exposure.

In the state of Texas it is legal to breastfeed in public so this led to a huge protest.  Hickman went to Facebook and began organizing a protest.  So yesterday hundreds of breastfeeding moms went into Targets across the country and sat down to breastfeed.

Target did issue a statement that said, “Target has a long-standing corporate policy that supports breastfeeding in our stores. … Guests who choose to breastfeed in public areas of the store are welcome to do so without being made to feel uncomfortable.”

I think the situation just made the employees uncomfortable.  But it is natural and as long as her breast aren't fully exposed, women should be able to feed their children.  What are your thoughts?
