Bride Tricks Groom Into Secret Wedding

Why don’t men ever get surprised by women with all-expenses paid golf trips or hour massages from Victoria Secret models? Nope. We get surprise weddings. Yippee.

This past weekend, David Shoemark of New Zealand went on a morning fishing trip and thought he was headed to a local park that afternoon for a family picnic. When he arrived, his girlfriend Cherie Butler and about 40 friends and family were waiting for a very different reason — a surprise wedding. In this case, Shoemark actually didn’t mind getting a surprise wedding since he’d been asking his girlfriend to get hitched for years.

A short ceremony was followed by a wedding reception at a bowling alley. Fishing, bowling and drinking all night. Too bad that whole “until death do us part” in the middle had to ruin an otherwise awesome day.
