Hey everyone, there’s a free Britney Spears concert! But you’ll have to go to Mexico City to see it. The ‘Femme Fatale’ singer who will be in Mexico for a series of dates next week, is playing a free show on Dec. 4, according to a Mexican government official.

The news comes from the Twitter feed of Marcelo Ebrard, who posted a message yesterday that translates as, “I want to confirm to you all that Britney Spears will be performing on Sunday 4 at 7PM at the Monumento a la Revolucion to kick off the Christmas holidays.” In a later post, he clarified that the show will be free, like past concerts by Shakira and others.

According to her website, Spears is performing on Dec. 1 in Guadalajara, Dec. 3 in Mexico City (a paid concert at Foro Sol) and Dec. 6 in Monterey. The free outdoor Mexico City concert will be a great early Christmas gift for those fans without tickets to any of the superstar’s shows.

In addition to hosting concerts, the Monumento a la Revolucion is the same spot where 13,000 people set a Guinness record in 2009 by dancing to Michael Jackson‘s ‘Thriller.’
