Camila Cabello Moved to Tears By Shawn Mendes’ Kind Words

Shawn Mendes recently made Camila Cabello cry, but don't worry, they were tears of joy.

The pop star recently stopped by Beats 1 to chat with Zane Lowe about his new music and some of his more special relationships. “She’s my favorite person in the whole world,” Mendes said of Cabello. The two became close after their 2015 collaboration, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

“I don’t think you’ll ever meet somebody who can feel emotion like her, in all aspects,” he continued. “She can feel hurt like no other, but she can feel love like no other.”

The "Havana" singer took to Twitter to tell the world how she reacted to the kind words.

“I shouldn’t be crying at this time in the morning but I AM. I love you SO much @ShawnMendes,” she tweeted.

During the same interview, Mendes discussed what's he's learned from working with producer Teddy Geiger, who is transgender.

“I wish everyone could experience this, because if they did, there would be no questions,” Mendes explained. “There would be no ‘I don’t get it,’ no confusion about the process. If somebody could just see the look on her face within that moment, everything would make sense."
