It's not often that we get Easter in March here in Amarillo, so it kind of creeps up on ya. We're so programmed for it to be in April that we haven't even thought about what events are happening around it.

Well that's what we're here for, to make sure you can do that last minute planning on at least one thing all in one place.

Easter egg hunts for the kids are always the main thing we tend to look for. I know it's what my kids always ask about, so let's make it easy for ya and put it all in one place. I'll even throw in an egg hunt for adults, because hey, we wanna be kids too sometimes.

SHI LEE'S EASTER EGG HUNT

Gotta love anything done by a man that is so community driven and involved, right? Shi Lee's partnered up with The Vessel for their 8th annual Citywide Easter Egg Hunt at Bones Hooks Park. The festivities will happen on Sunday with everything kicking off at 1 pm.

The event is completely free, and the kids will go hunting for eggs filled with candy and tickets for a toy that has been donated to the hunt. Some of the toys they can win consist of bikes, scooters, skates, hoverboards, and more. Following the hunt, everyone can enjoy free lunch from Shi Lee's BBQ and Soul Food until it's all gone.

EASTER EGG HUNT AT POLK ST. METHODIST CHURCH

Always a pretty popular event, and maybe that's because they rock it on Saturdays, this one will take place again on Saturday, March 30th starting at 11 am. They actually have three different starts times based on how old your kiddo is.

11 am is for the toddlers and 2 year old's. At 11:10 am, the hunt begins for the kiddos that are 3 years old to kindergarten age. 11:20 am is when the big kids will get their run at it, and this includes the 1st through 5th graders.

EASTER EGG EXTRAVAGANZA AT FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Well if you can't find an Easter egg or 12 at this event, you're doing it all wrong. Slated to roll on Saturday, March 30, the Easter Egg Extravaganza will have 10,000 eggs filled with goodies to be found. Think about that for a second. If 100 kids show up, that means each kid could find 100 eggs by themselves. That's a loaded hunt.

There will also be snow cones, face painting, candy, and so much more to do at this event.

THE 20,000 EASTER EGG HUNT WITH KEV THE EASTER BUNNY

Just when I thought the event at First Church of the Nazarene couldn't be outdone, I stumble upon this one. The event is scheduled to be held at The Gym @ Contagion Athletics on Saturday, March 30 starting at 10 am.

It's the largest Easter egg hunt that will happen in Amarillo so the kids will be going home with all sorts of goodies, and you can have them take free pictures with Kev the Easter Bunny. Sounds like a win-win all around!

ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT AT PONDASETA BREWING

I promised something for the adults, and I delivered. Why? Because I'm sure I'll be there myself. Pondaseta is making sure the adults get to have a little fun too on Saturday, March 30 from 12-4 pm with an adult Easter egg hunt.

A free event, there will be eggs hidden all over the place. From the brewery to the taproom and the patio, these eggs are filled with things we adults like. Free food, free merch, and of course, free beer. I'll trade my free food with anyone for their free beer. Heck, I might even go 2-for-1 with you.
