After Taylor Swift penned an open letter to fans about record label executives barring her from performing music from her past six albums, celebrities have voiced their support for the 29-year-old and her plea to perform and own her own music.

The letter detailed Big Machine's Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta's decision to prevent her from performing music from her first six albums at the upcoming American Music Awards and the usage of the music in her upcoming Netflix documentary. Fans began to quickly rally around the "Lover" singer, and not long after, celebrities began to stand up for Swift.

Halsey was one of the first to share her support for Swift. "Trying to use my words wisely right now..." she first posted on Instagram stories. "This is just mean. This is punishment," she continued. "This is hoping to silence her from speaking about things by dangling this over her head. It is her grace and patience in these moments that make her Artist of the Decade." Aside from her kind words, Halsey also shared a cover of her singing Swift's hit, "Mean."

Tinashe responded to tweets about Swift's predicament, "F--k that. We're with you," she first tweeted. Fans thanked Tinashe for showing a fellow female pop star support. "It genuinely genuinely makes me sick to my stomach," she replied to the fan.

Lily Allen, Ruby Rose, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefy, also showed Swift support on their social media accounts.
