Actor Chris Pine was reportedly busted for drunk driving in New Zealand earlier this month.

Hollywood A-listers more frequently get pinched for DUI or DWI while on the streets of Los Angeles. But Pine, who recently starred in 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,' was out of the country and on location for a film when his mishap occurred.

The handsome 'Star Trek' hunk, 33, attended a wrap party on Feb. 28 in Methven while on location to shoot his sci-fi film 'Z for Zacharaiah.' He was celebrating the end of filming and must have imbibed too much, as he was allegedly arrested after being stopped by local authorities in the wee morning hours of March 1.

Police confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter than an American male was indeed stopped during a routine check. They declined to specifically reveal Pine's identity, due to the country's privacy laws, but other local sources claim the normally low-key actor must appear in a district court in Ashburton on Monday, March 17.

The New Zealand Herald, a local publication, spoke to Casey Crawford, bar manager of the Blue Pub Methven where the wrap party for 70 cast, crew and local volunteers took place.

"Chris Pine arrived here and had his girlfriend [Iris Bjork Johannesdottir] with him and he spent most of his time with her -- she flew in that day someone told me,'' Crawford said. The manager also pointed out that there were designated drivers at the party, which ended at approximately 3AM, and expressed surprise that the actor did not make use of them and chose to drive himself.
