Whether we like them or not, there's no denying that Chuck Lorre sitcoms like 'Two and Half Men,' 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Mike & Molly' dominate in the ratings, and in some cases, awards. 'Two and a Half Men' however might not continue on past the current season, and even 'The Big Bang Theory' has gotten up there in years, so what's the next CBS powerhouse for sitcom magnate Chuck Lorre? Move over 'How I Met Your Mother,' it's time for 'Mom!'

Is CBS getting a jump on it's next big hit from 'Two and a Half Men' creator Chuck Lorre? That may well be the case according to the latest report from Deadline, which reveals that Lorre has begun development on new female-centric sitcom 'Mom.' The latest from Lorre's lucrative four-year development deal has received a pilot production order, to be produced with 'Two And A Half Men' executive producer Eddie Gorodetsky and story editor Gemma Baker.

With the title role as-yet-uncast, 'Mom' follows a newly-sober single mother trying to get her life together in scenic Napa Valley, California. The effort also marks Lorre's first female-centric comedy since 1990's hits 'Grace Under Fire' and 'Cybill.'  'Mom' is being eyed for premiere in the fall 2013 season.

Given that Lorre's attention has thus far been divided between 'Two and a Half Men,' 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Mike & Molly,' might this be a sign that 'Men' will in fact be retired this season? We've heard talk of Miley Cyrus stepping in to fill Angus T. Jones' role after his probable departure, but 'Men's return for an eleventh season isn't seen as likely.
