On Sunday several Delta Air Line flights coming into the US from Amsterdam got quite a shock when the passengers found sewing needles in their sandwiches.

Next time you decide to take a flight that serves a meal, you might not want to eat it without giving it a small examination.  On Sunday, a passenger was caught by surprise when he took a bite of his sandwich and was stuck with a needle.

Yes, you read that right.  A sewing needle stuck the passenger in the roof of his mouth.  Him and his son both had needles in their sandwiches.  And they aren't the only ones.

Four Delta flights from Amsterdam headed to the US all found needles in some of their sandwiches.  The sandwiches were made by the Amsterdam kitchen of catering company Gate Gourmet, and were to be served to business class passengers on Delta flights.

Since it happened on an international flight, the US FBI will have to work with the Dutch authorities to continue the investigation.

While it does raise concern, authorities are not too worried.  They are chalking it up to disgruntled employees and not a terrorist.

I don't care how disgruntled someone is at their job, if you put a needle in someone's food you have issues.  Hopefully, they will find the person responsible and handle the situation.

I do, however, have a little advice for anyone planning on flying-CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR FOOD!  This will prevent any mouths getting pricked by a needle.

Here is a video from CBS News.  Watch it and then tell me, do you think they are trying to make light of the situation?
