The 2016 MTV European Music Awards took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands Sunday night (Nov. 6), with Drake and The Weeknd taking home their fair share of hardware. The Weeknd won Best Video for "Starboy" which features Daft Punk, a video that dropped just a few weeks ago, in late September, while Drake won Best Hip-Hop act, beating out Future, G-Eazy, Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa. Wizkid, who was featured on Drake's massively successful "One Dance" earlier this year, as well won in the Worldwide Act category for his native Nigeria.

The Weeknd commemorated the evening with a performance of "Starboy" as well, singing from inside a planetarium-esque dome that later lifted. The performance may clue some fans into what can be expected from The Weeknd’s upcoming Starboy: Legend of the Fall tour, which kicks off in February and extends through June with stops in Europe, Canada and the States.

Based on the EMA win, it seems like The Weeknd is already ensuring success for the follow-up to his 2015 album Beauty Behind the Madness, which went three times platinum and earned him Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Album of the Year. "Starboy" is featured on an album by the same name, which drops later this month, on Nov. 25.

Check out a full list of winners, with congratulations extended to all the winning artists.
