Easter Hack: Does Coloring Eggs With Shaving Cream Work?
I have seen so many different ways to color eggs. Food color, Kool Aid, and now shaving cream. But does it work? I tested it and you'll be surprised at the outcome.
I love coloring eggs with my family. The kids get so excited. So I always try to find cool and fun ways to do it. I have been seeing shaving cream as a cool way to do swirl type colors. So I decided to try it.
The first step was getting the shaving cream ready.
Next, you add the color you want.
Then you swirl it around and put the egg in the shaving cream. You need to let it set for a while. I let it set for 15 minutes.
The color didn't take. At all! It was very, very faint so I decided to decorate it my self. Yeah, shaving cream coloring can suck it!
I refused to accept the fact that it didn't work. So I got another plate of shaving cream and put in a boat load of color. I used so much food coloring, you wouldn't believe. Then I left the egg in there for about 45 minutes. This was the final product. A lightly colored egg.
I would say fail! It took forever to get a faint color and it used all the food coloring. If you have time then, try it out for yourself! The most important part is enjoying the time with your kids. :)
