Equality Texas Launches New Fellows Program
The Equality Texas Fellows Program is a leadership development program geared at providing individuals with the education and skills necessary to confidently exercise their individual power in support of LGBTQ rights in Texas.
The Equality Texas Fellows program is designed to take individuals to a new step in their advocacy journey. Whether one has engaged in advocacy before or a beginner, this curriculum will prepare you to champion meaningful change in Texas during the upcoming 2021 legislative session and help uplift critical issues Amarillo is facing.
Equality Fellows will participate in 4 web-based modules beginning on October 10, 2020, from 10 am to 12 pm. The remaining modules will take place on Saturdays, October 24, November 7 & 21 from 10 am to 12 pm. Graduates will have gained the knowledge to complete a capstone project that will offer a powerful tool during the 2021 Legislative Session.
The fellowship is open to anyone committed to LGBTQ equality. Applications close September 25, 2020, at 5 pm. Participants selected for the inaugural Equality Fellows Program will be notified on or before October 1, 2020. Apply now.
