Believe it or not, Father's Day is right around the corner, and that means Amarillo families will be looking for ways to spoil Dad and give him the best day possible. For me, I typically find myself at a ballfield. I know you're shocked, right?

Most of the time, it's being at my boys' games. There's typically a Father's Day tourney we play in every year, but on those years we aren't, you'll probably find me enjoying a beer and a game at HODGETOWN with the family.

I know baseball isn't for everyone, in fact, there are more dads out there looking for something other than that for their day. Amarillo always has numerous options for them to take advantage of, so here's a few I thought you might like.

FATHER'S DAY LUNCH AT PONDASETA

Hey, we dads love to kick back a couple of cold ones on any given day, but Father's Day is a perfect day to be able to do it. I can't think of a better way to do it than kicking it outside on a patio at a brewery.

Throw in the fact that Pondaseta is hosting a fully loaded DIY burger bar for Dad is a major added bonus. Dad can build up his burger any way he wishes, and enjoy $2 'Lo Lights drafts. I'd say that makes for a pretty solid Father's Day excursion.

FATHER'S DAY FILM AT AMARILLO PUBLIC LIBRARY

If Dad is a movie buff and looking to spend the day doing something family-friendly, then stop by the Amarillo Public Library as they'll be doing a Father's Day film session. The whole family can kick back together and enjoy a flick. No word yet on what they'll be showing, so keep an eye on their website.

AMARILLO SUPER MINI CON

Maybe Dad is into comics, Funko Pops, collectibles, and more. If he is, then he won't want to miss out on the Amarillo Super Mini Con. The convention is running both Saturday AND Sunday, so maybe Father's Day turns into Father's Weekend.

It's happening at the Amarillo Civic Center in the North Exhibit Hall and it promises to be a good time had by all. You can get more info by clicking here.
