Fire At Taco Bell On Amarillo Blvd Caused By Lit Cigarette

Taco Bell on Amarillo Blvd will be closed for a few days after a lit cigarette in the bathroom caused a fire that spread through the attic of the restaurant. Amarillo Fire Department authorities report no injuries in the grilled and stuffed establishment.

"About 8 p.m., firefighters responded to the blaze at 300 E. Amarillo Blvd., where somebody had put out a lit cigarette into a wall. The resulting fire crept underneath framing materials and extended into the bathroom before continuing into the attic, Amarillo Fire Department District Chief Dan Bush said."
Needless to say, the Amarillo Health Department will have to step in and do an investigation on this one...
