Could it be true?  Is FloRida a cheapskate?  Well according to an ex-assistant, who is suing him, he is.

Mahogany Miller is suing 32-year old FloRida for not paying her sufficiently for the work she did.  Miller is claiming that she was paid $3.08 an hour—less than half the federal minimum wage—for a 65-hour work week.

The lawsuit was filed in January in Miami. In it, Miller states that she endured long hours when she started working as an administrative assistant for the rapper in August 2011, but couldn't handle the job's low salary.

When she talked to him about it, she says she was allegedly fired within a day.

Miller's attorney, Robert Harris, stated that he is going to revise the suit to include a few other counts.

So what does FloRida have to say?  Well his lawyer Sandy Becher says that Ms. Miller is delusional.  She goes on to say that Miller is was never officially hired as an employee in FloRida's office but an unpaid volunteer to begged the rapper to work for him.  She wanted a way into the music business.

Becher said that she was unqualified for a paid position, but Flo let her work as an intern, occasionally paying for her lunch or giving her gas money, but nothing was guaranteed.

Becher goes on to say that the rapper didn't fire her because she asked for money but because her "behavior was inappropriate for the workplace environment."

No other details were given, but FloRida did make a statement to TMZ, "This is ridiculous that I gave someone an opportunity out of the goodness of my heart and now sadly I am being falsely targeted."

It looks like a he said she said argument.  I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
