Heat safety will be extremely important throughout the rest of the week as you can see from above. Be sure to check on elderly neighbors, especially those who may not have air conditioning. If you have to be outside, take frequent breaks and drink plenty of water. Never leave a pet alone in a vehicle, even with the AC on, the vehicle can still heat up will parked, and the engine is at risk of overheating and shutting down. If you plan on being in Palo Duro Canyon, prepare from extreme temperatures. This might be a good weekend to skip hiking in the park.
