Family Favorite Harlem Globetrotters Set Amarillo Stop in April
We get a myriad of different events that roll through Amarillo every year. It's pretty well-rounded in the types of events that come through, from concerts to expos to family events. There's always one that grabs my attention, though.
Yes, maybe it's because it's sports-related. It could be that it's just an absolute blast of a time. Or it could have something to do with the fact that many moons ago, I got the chance to participate in it, and it's something I'll never forget.

Harlem Globetrotters Coming To Amarillo
It's one of the greatest shows on earth, and has been for a long time. Trick shots, crazy passes, and all the wild things they can do with the basketball have captivated audiences for years, and now they're coming back to Amarillo.
The Harlem Globetrotters will hit up the Amarillo Civic Center on April 1st, and no, this isn't an April Fool's joke. It all kicks off at 7 pm on the 1st, and tickets are already available.
A Big Celebration Is Planned
This performance will be unlike any other, as the Globetrotters are celebrating something very special. This is year 100 for the Globetrotters, and they're doing a lot of things to celebrate that. Aside from having all sorts of new merchandise to purchase wrapped around it, they'll be wearing all-new jerseys.
The history of the Globetrotters is rich. Wilt Chamberlain, known as one of the greatest basketball players in the history of the game, has played with the Globetrotters. They've always been inclusive and know how to have a good time. I once got to take the court dressed as one of The Generals, their opponent, and play against them. It was an experience I'll never forget, and I'll be at this performance without question.
