You would be amazed to know that many of the senior citizens in our community are going hungry.

A lot of senior citizens in our area have to make tough decisions when it comes to their fixed incomes.  They have to choose to pay for medicine over food, utilities over food, and other bills over food.   When your social security payment each month won't cover basic necessities, then they have to reach out for help.  When it comes to food, the High Plains Food Bank helps out our local senior citizens and they want to continue helping out our senior neighbors.

Are you or do you know a senior citizen that is struggling to put food on their table?  if so, then the High Plains Food Bank can help with their Commodity Supplemental Food Program.

To see if you or your loved one qualify, you can stop by the High Plains Food Bank at 815 S. Ross, during regular business hours.

Please bring one form of identification including, Driver’s License, State ID Card, Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, Military ID, Refugee Visa, Baptismal Certificate, Health Card.  You will also need one proof of income including, Social Security letter, Paystub from previous month, Income Tax Return, Bank Statement, Supplemental Security Income letter (SSI)

You must be 60 years of age or older.

If you or your loved one qualifies you will receive 25-30 pound box of food once a month.
