If You Won The Mega Millions $640 Million Jackpot, What Local Charity Would You Donate A Million Dollars To?

I think we all have these fantasies about what we would do with all the money we got if we hit it big and won that $640 million jackpot in tonight's Mega Millions drawing.  I'd definitely have to buy a Bugatti Veyron, give my family and friends a few million bucks, maybe buy this radio station I work for too.  But one thing a lot of us don't fantasize about is, what local charity or charities would you drop $1 million bucks to?

There's a ton of great organizations here in Amarillo that could use the money and actually make a local difference, impacting everybody around you.  If you ask me, there's not enough Bugatti's in the world that equal that feeling!  When you give money to a charity and you actually see if put to work, it's an awesome feeling, you really feel like you did something good with your time, money and life.

So who would you drop some cash to?

I'd definitely give to the children hospitals here, both Children's Miracle Network at BSA and the children's hospital at NWTH.  Both hospitals help so many children and the vast majority of them are Texas Panhandle residents.  They even pay for patients to fly off to Dallas or Houston for treatment!   So that's a given right there, they would both get a million bucks from me and I can honestly say that's not even enough they should get more, and if I win, I'll consider it :)

High Plains Food Bank would get a huge chunk of money from me because they are always in need!  And the way they budget money and work deals, $1 million to them equals about $10 million in food! Awesome!  They'd finally have enough money to help almost everyone!

These are just the ones that come to my mind when I think about what charities I'd give to if I hit it big tonight.
