Is TxDOT Really Quoting Chamillionaire?

Can we start with the fact that I don't know who Chamillionaire is?

I think there's probably a lot of us who don't know who Chamillionaire is. We probably thought the song was from someone else, but yes, TxDOT is quoting Chamillionaire.

If you haven't seen the message yet, it says:

They see my rollin'
Never Scrollin'

Of course, that opening line is from "Ridin' Dirty," which actually goes:

They see my rollin'
They hatin'

I would love to keep quoting the song, but if the words on the highways signs seemed familiar to you, it's no doubt cribbed from the Chamillionaire song (once again, I had to look that up).

TxDOT has put out a lot of creative messages dealing with the traditional holidays from special salutes to Star Wars and more. In addition, the signs often deal with Amber, Silver and other alerts. They also pass along actual traffic information on occasion.

Let's also not forget that the main messages presented actually bring up points on distracted driving, impaired driving and the sobering statistics about highway fatalities.
