Is Valentine’s Day Mostly About Women?

Over the years, Valentine's Day has escalated into an enormous holiday.  But who is the holiday really for: men, women or both?

Valentine's Day, ahhh, the holiday of love.  People set aside this day to celebrate their love and relationships.  Many people use this day to get engaged to that special someone.  So you does the holiday mean more too?

I don't care what anyone says, I think the holiday means more to women.  Now I am not saying that men don't care all I'm saying is they could do without the holiday.

I can honestly say that I could do without the holiday.  If you truly love someone why not show them everyday instead of once a year.  But I know a lot of women who get truly hurt if their loved one forgets to buy her something or take her out.

A lot of pressure is put on men.  Not only do you have to get her a perfect gift, you have to plan the perfect evening and if they forget, they are in the dog house for who knows how long.

So here is an idea.  This year, women, you do the planning.  Show your man just how much he means to you.  Send him flowers to his work.  Buy him a box of chocolates.  Don't expect an expensive gift, rather buy him something.  Switch roles this year and see what he goes through to make your Valentine's Day extra special.

There is nothing wrong with changing it up a bit.  And who knows, he might be extra thrilled that you made the effort of planning everything that you will get that gift that you always wanted.
