Amarillo Halloween Prank Cleanup: Expert Advice For Property Protection
Today is Halloween, and tonight there will be kids out and about shaking down neighborhood after neighborhood looking for candy. Some of the older ones might be out looking to make some long-lasting memories with friends in the form of epic pranks. If you wake up tomorrow in Amarillo and find yourself the victim of the trick side of trick-or-treating, here's your survival guide.
How To Get Toilet Paper Out Of Your Tree
In my neighborhood, we have a lot of old and extremely tall trees. If someone were to TP my house, it would be a horrific nightmare to undo. That is if I didn't have a game plan. I did some digging, and here is the best way to get toilet paper out of your tree.
One of the last resorts is to try and spray it out of the tree using a water hose. That paper is just going to get wet and stick to the branches. You'll wind up making bathroom paper mache before you clear all of the toilet paper out of your tree. The best thing to do is grab a tool from the garage.
Use a tool with a long handle, like a rake, to get the paper out of the tree. If you have a leaf blower, even better. A leaf blower can get the job done really well. If you are forced to use a ladder to reach the tree, use the buddy system and a lot of caution.
How To Clean Egg Off Of Your House
If you are the unfortunate victim of an egging on Halloween, just know you're in for a little work to clean that mess up. It's not as simple as you might think. Eggs can be hard to get off your house. Fortunately, there are some methods you can use to fix the situation.
You can mix water and white vinegar. You'll want to soak a towel in it, then secure the towel against the spot where the egg hit. Let it sit for a little bit, then come back and rinse it off. It takes a little time, but it's one of the recommended methods from people who wash houses for a living.
You can also use water and laundry detergent. You want to make a paste, and then apply it to the egg-affected area. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with a hose. If you're looking for something easier, there's a third option. You can use spot remover as you use on your clothes. Let it sit for 15 minutes, and then rinse.
If it's really bad, you can always call a pro. Happy Halloween, and may the odds be ever in your favor...as they say.
