Drive past the right parking lot in Amarillo, Texas and you can see the remnants of the last cold snap we had recently. It was a very cold weekend and we had a day full of snow falling. This weekend, while we might not see as much snow, we will be getting some brutally cold temperatures again.

Is It Going To Snow In Amarillo, Texas This Weekend?

A quick check of the Nation Weather Service Amarillo website, and there's good news and bad news to be found when it comes to those who love snow. The good news is that there is a chance for snow. The bad news? It won't be much.

I doubt that one friend we all have will be singing and asking us if we want to build a snowman. It looks like there won't be enough unless you plan on building a snowman for your model train village.

How Cold Will It Get In Amarillo, Texas This Weekend?

It's going to be pretty cold. The Code Blue Warming Station has already determined that they will be activated for tonight. According to their announcement on social media, we're expecting wind chills down in the teens tonight and early tomorrow.

Those brutal Texas panhandle winds are going to be incredibly cold.

Looking at tomorrow's forecast, it's going to be colder than it was today. Highs look to be somewhere in the 30s. Lows will dip into the 20s. It's going to be another cold weekend in the panhandle. Luckily, it looks like forecasts have Sunday being a little bit warmer.
