Every year, the Sod Poodles and Hodgetown in Amarillo, Texas try to take the entertainment offered during the season up a notch. This year is no different, and this time they're taking to the sky to get the job done. In 2024, the Sod Poodles and Hodgetown are bringing a high-tech first to the skies over downtown Amarillo.

High Flying Entertainment This Year At Amarillo's Hodgetown

We're used to seeing fireworks downtown during the baseball season. Every week that the Sod Poodles are home, downtown is lit up with a firework show. This year, we still get the fireworks, but also get something that has never been in Amarillo, Texas before.

This year we will get the first drone show in Amarillo. Not only will we see the first, but we'll see the second as well thanks to back-to-back performances.

World Record Holding Entertainment In The Sky Above Amarillo, Texas

The live drone show will be done by a company from Fort Worth called Sky Elements. They accomplished two world records with their 4th of July show for last year. It's incredible. You can see it below.

They've traveled all over performing a variety of shows for different celebrations and events. Their YouTube channel is full of mind-boggling videos. I don't know what it is about the drone shows, but I can't get enough of them.

Live Drone Shows At Hodgetown In June Of 2024

The live drone shows will take to the sky above Amarillo on June 7 and June 8, 2024. The Tulsa Drillers will be in town both nights. Gates will open at 6 PM. Game time is slated for 7:05 PM.
