Amarillo’s 2025 Convention Season Starts Sooner Than You Think

It's a new year, so all our favorite events in Amarillo are gearing up for their annual appearance. Some of the most beloved events, believe it or not, are our "cons". Our conventions that celebrate everything from anime to Star Trek are big events, and two of them are coming up very soon.

Yellow City Comic Convention 2025 Is Coming Up Soon

Yellow City Comic Convention, or YC3 as the cool kids call it, is one of the biggest conventions we have every year. It usually features everything from celebrity guests to gaming tournaments. There's usually a lot to take in.

This year, the Yellow City Comic Convention is going to be held starting on April 11 and it goes through April 13.  Tickets are available on their website. As usual, it's going to be held at the Civic Center.

The only downer at this point is that there haven't been any announcements made regarding who will be this year's guests. Their website says the lineup is coming soon, and their social media hasn't given any hints.

Bomb City Con 2025 Kicks Off In March

Earlier in the year, in March, Bomb City Con will take over the Civic Center and there's a lot on the schedule this year. Halcyon Knights will be there with all of their sword-fighting madness. The Neko Squared Maid Cafe will be open. Of course, there's a cosplay contest and a rave.

The guest list for this year is pretty impressive. Two absolute UFC legends will be making an appearance. Don Frye and Dan Severn will both be there. Also appearing will be none other than Flash Gordon himself, Sam Jones.

Bomb City Con is on March 1 and March 2. Tickets are available and you can get all of the info at their website by following this link.

Amarillo, Texas; An Unlikely Con Heaven

Before I moved to Amarillo, I thought it was a town full of cowboys who ride their horses to Dairy Queen to get a Blizzard. Never in a million years did I think that this town would be ground zero for so many conventions like this.

We've seen some incredible star power show up at our local conventions through the years, and it doesn't look like it's stopping any time soon. If you can make it to all of the conventions, this is only two of several, go for it. If not, pick one and go. You won't be disappointed.
