Pool & Food Together? Here’s Some Amarillo Restaurants To Check Out

One thing Amarillo seems to love is its pool. I've never seen a city with so many pool halls in my life, so clearly Amarillo Slim had some impact on the city and its interests.

I enjoy a good game of pool myself, but I'm an amateur of amateurs when it comes to it. I don't profess to be good by any stretch, but it's fun to play. When I'm at a restaurant with a pool table though, I have a tendency to head over to it and shoot a game or two with the kids.

So I decided to take a look around Amarillo and see which restaurants have pool tables in them. Here are a few that I found.

J'S BAR & GRILL

I went into J's for the first time a couple of months ago. I know, lived here for two years and just now getting around to going over there. Aside from the really cool setup they have with their TV's in there for sports, I was very impressed by the room next to the dining area.

J's is essentially split into two parts. One side is purely the bar and a dining area. The other half has several pool tables and a few dining tables. Most times, you can find an open table to rack them up at, all while enjoying some food and cold beverages.

ZOMBIEZ BAR & GRILL

Here's a cool little place if you're looking to get away from the kids for a night out. Inside, it has a definite throwback bar feel. A lot of different things posted up on the walls, a full bar, and some dining tables for you to sit at.

They've got a solid menu of some tasty items to munch on while you shoot a couple of games at one of their multiple pool tables. If you're looking to take a break, they've got a little patio area outside that you can post up at for a bit in between games.

MULLIGAN'S SPORTS PUB

This is my kind of place right here. When you call yourself a sports pub, you immediately have my attention. I know I can watch my games, while having a couple of cold ones and grab some food.

The best part? I can hack my way around one of the multiple pool tables they have. Mulligan's is rated high on Yelp which makes it an even better choice and experience for me.
