It Seems Like Every Time The Cowboys Get Ready For A Late Season Run, Drama Unfolds.

The Dallas Cowboys have enjoyed another great season winning 12 games and they are preparing for their playoff push but if you're a fan of the team, then you know December and January can be bad juju for the team due to ramped up expectations and recent repeated failures to advance in the playoffs. This news only adds to that pressure.

According To Multiple Reports, Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive end Sam Williams was involved in a car crash last month.

According to a Plano Police spokesperson, the accident occurred at roughly 2:15 p.m. CT on December 22nd when Williams was traveling southbound on Preston Road and a northbound vehicle attempted to cross in front of him. Williams and the driver of the other vehicle were hospitalized for precautionary reasons, and the crash caused the road to be partially shut down for "about two hours."

Now Plano Police Have Issued A Warrant For His Arrest.

Plano police confirmed that a misdemeanor warrant for reckless driving was issued, but details about the warrant won't be released until an arrest happens. Williams has been contacted by police to turn himself in but if Williams is stopped by police before he turns himself in, he would be arrested.

The 23-year-old rookie has been a part of the Cowboys' defensive line rotation throughout the 2022 season.

The Cowboys chose Williams in the second round with the 56th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft. He played college football at Ole Miss. Williams did not play in the following 2 games after the incident: a Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles and the subsequent Thursday Night Football game against the Tennessee Titans. He managed to return to the field for Dallas' regular-season finale against the Washington Commanders, recording two total tackles and a sack.

He finished the regular season with 15 tackles and four sacks, as well as one forced fumble. The Cowboys play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night in the first round of the NFL playoffs and its unknown at this time if Williams will play.
