Gossip sites have been reporting for months that the marriage of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is nearly over. Now, In Touch Weekly is giving some credence to those rumors with a new report that Jada has met with a divorce attorney.

The magazine says Pinkett Smith had a meeting with Laura Wasser, a divorce lawyer who has represented celebrity clients like Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, and Kim Kardashian. An insider is quoted as saying the couple has “finally begun to take steps to dissolve their marriage.”

In Touch first reported that Will and Jada were divorcing back in August, and the gossip got so hot back then that the couple issued a statement to People that read, “Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false … We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”

Will and Jada have both said in the past they strongly oppose divorce. Jada once told Ebony, “When Will asked me to get married, I said, ‘Understand this, there will be no divorce. So, you might be in one bedroom and I might be in another, but we’re gonna be under the same roof and we’re gonna be married.’” Have things changed since then for Willow and Jaden‘s parents? Stay tuned.
