Katy Perry Receives A Special Achievement Award At American Music Awards [VIDEO]

Last night the American Music Awards took place.  While there are many things we could discuss, on of my favorite parts was when Katy Perry received a special award.

Katy Perry has come a long way and now she is being honored for it.  Her latest album 'Teenage Dream' has achieved an honor that only one other artist has received, Michael Jackson.  That honor is having five number 1 hits off a single album.

Michael Jackson received this honor with his album "Thriller."  Since then nobody has reached that much success with an album.  Until now!  Katy Perry is not only the first female, but only the second artist to ever do this.

Last night after her AMA performance, Katy Perry was given a special award engraved with her achievement.  Heidi Klum was the special presenter.
