This recipe is sooooo good. It's called "Cracker Candy". The name is very accurate as most people who it eat calls it "crack".Ingredients:

  • Box of Saltine Crackers
  • 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons of Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) of Butter
  • 1 package of chocolate chips (I used the 'semi-sweet' variety. Milk chocolate chips will work too)
  • 1/2 Cup of toasted pecans

Get a cookie sheet and cover with aluminum foil. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray.  Arrange the saltines until the entire surface of the cookie sheet is covered. Set aside.

In a saucepan, melt the butter.  Add the brown sugar and stir thoroughly.  Bring it to a boil.  Boil 3 minutes.  Pour the mixture on top of the crackers and spread evenly until covered.  Bake in the oven at 350 for 5 minutes.  Next step is to evenly distribute the chocolate chips on the crackers.  Cover with foil for 3 minutes.  Remove the cover and spread the chocolate evenly across the crackers.  Sprinkle with the toasted pecans. Put the cookie sheet in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.  Break it all apart and voila! You have "Cracker Candy"
