Popular Amarillo Buffet Evicted as Police Arrive Mid-Service
Sadly, we've gotten used to seeing restaurants close their doors these days in Amarillo. Some of them have been a bit more surprising than others; a few we kind of saw coming.
What happened on Sunday, July 20, though, wasn't on our bingo card, and it truthfully shocked a lot of people...none more than the ones who were already inside the restaurant when this happened.

What Was Seen At The Restaurant
People started heading over to Facebook around noon on July 20th, reporting people standing outside a restaurant, along with some security guards and even the police.
It's usually a scene reserved for a fire or something inside the building, but that wasn't the case for Lin's Grand Buffet.

Did Lin's Grand Buffet Shut Down
The short answer to that is yes. It could be temporary, it could be permanent. What we do know is that there is a sign on the door, and that sign is an eviction notice.
Police were there in order to make sure people left the restaurant, and security was there to keep them out of the building as the whole scene unfolded.
What Is Really Happening At Lin's
There are some conflicting reports out there about what's going on, but the one that seems to be the most discussed reason is that there is a fight with the owner of the building, and they're trying to get it worked out.
In the meantime, it seems the landlord has taken back possession of the building until it's all worked out. What those problems are we aren't 100% sure, but for now, Lin's will remained closed until the issues are figured out.
