Everyone who mourned the apparent breakup of party rockers LMFAO, pour yourself a celebratory shot: they haven't split up!

On Friday, it was announced that the curly do-ed, drink enthusiast duo were going on a hiatus -- which is true. Redfoo told an Australian news outlet, “I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years, and we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time.” In short? They weren't having fun or being inspired much, so they're diving into other things.

However, when reports began to interpret that announcement as a full fledged breakup, the band's reps issued a speedy denial. LMFAO's publicist told SPIN that the group aren't broken up, just taking a break to work on separate projects.

Perhaps the duo's rumored tumultuous history lent itself to stories of a breakup. The pair were said to be feuding this past spring over Redfoo's work with other artists and use of the 'Party Rocking' catchphrase in outside merchandising and branding, an allegation which the group fervently denied. However, where there's smoke, there's fire. In any case, we're looking forward to hearing what they come up with separately and together.
