Further proof one should never underestimate the power of Directioners? Oh, just the fact that a tweet from Louis Tomlinson to Harry Styles is the second most retweeted tweet in the history of Twitter. Let’s just let that sink in.

Yep: Louis’ declaration of love for Harry has currently surpassed 790,000 RTs — and is well on its way to getting over 800,000. The sweet tweet just beat out Barack Obama’s ‘Four More Years’ tweet, which has been retweeted over 757,000 times. However, it still has a little ways to go to receive the honor of Most Retweeted Tweet Ever — that (unofficial) award that still belongs to Ellen Degeneres’ famous Oscar selfie.

Of course, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that if a One Direction tweet had to break that record, it would be this one. Some Directioners — apparently 794,767, to be exact — ship Larry Stylinson (the pairing of Louis and Harry) harder than anything and believe Louis’ tweet to be proof that Larry exists. So yes, that’s a thing… and it explains why Louis’ tweet has received so much attention.
