I don't think this is a case where you can blame idiotic behavior on partying a little too hard for Cinco De Mayo weekend.  It's definitely a funny and more interesting story of someone being arrested.  A man armed with a machete was arrested at the Flying J Truck Stop last night in Amarillo.

The suspect was pilfering through an employee's car, when the employee saw him digging through his stuff and went out to put a stop to it.

The man walked away, but left something in the employee's car, a machete!

"On 5-4-14, at about 10:40 PM, officers were sent to the Flying J Truck Stop at 9601 E. IH-40 on an auto burglary.  An employee of a business at the truck stop caught a man in his car, apparently looking through his belongings.  The car owner confronted the man and told him to get out of his car.  The suspect got out and walked away.  The victim discovered that the suspect had taken some personal items from the car and had apparently left a machete in the car.  Another witness recalled seeing a man with a backpack on the parking lot earlier in the evening.  He had seen the man pull a machete out of his backpack and then put it back.  Witnesses located the suspect, who was now in the truck stop.  They saw him drink a bottled drink from the cooler without paying for it.  Officers took the man into custody.  A search of the man and his backpack led to the discovery of over 40 documents including bank cards, vehicle registration documents, vehicle insurance cards, bank deposit slips, and other items that did not belong to the suspect.  The items were linked to both Amarillo and out-of-state addresses and may have come from unreported auto burglaries.  The suspect Majin Garza III, HM 25 of Amarillo, was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for burglary of a vehicle, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, possession of a prohibited weapon, a city warrant, and theft under $50."

Happy Cinco De Mayo y'all!
