What Will The Toot’N Totum Become? Here’s 3 Options.
When the QuikTrip moved in off of Bell and Arden here in Amarillo, man wondered if there would be a battle between the Toot'n Totum there on the corner and QuikTrip. Well, it wasn't much of a battle.
Toot'n Totum shut down the location a few weeks ago, and just yesterday the awning that was over the gas pumps had been torn down and it doesn't even resemble a TnT anymore.

So with that in the books, speculation will now turn to who is going to buy the building and what it's going to become. Let's take a look at some Amarillo favorites as to what it could become.
COFFEE SHOP
I don't want to specify a particular one, because any of them could pop right in there. It's truly a perfect spot for one. Coming off of I-27 and taking that right onto Arden. You get stuck at the light, and that coffee shop is staring at you.
Furthermore, the closest actual coffee shop to that area is over by United off of 45th and Bell, so the area could feasibly use one.
VAPE/SMOKE SHOP
They're starting to pop up all over the place, similar to the coffee shop boom not too long ago. I mean, there's one on the corner of 34th and Bell, and another opening just past the Walgreens there. Literally walking distance from one another.
But, when something is hot, it's hot. And right now, that's vape and smoke shops, so I could see one of them scooping up that location.
FAST FOOD RESTAURANT
I could 100% see one of these opening up at this building. There is currently a Popeye's on the other corner, and a Sonic up the road. Outside of that? There isn't a whole lot in the way of fast food places until you get to the 45th and Bell area.
Now, what type of restaurant, I have no idea, but pretty much any kind of restaurant opening there would be a huge addition to that area
