A lot of what we've heard in Amarillo this year has been about all the restaurants that are shutting their doors.

Some of these places were long-standing restaurants, such as Beef O'Brady's, Sakura and Malcom's.

Since the announcement of those places closing down, we have gotten some good news as Beef's has a re-opening date set, so we're getting at least one of them back.

Since everything we seem to be hearing is doom and gloom these days, especially since it's an election year, I thought it would be good to bring some happiness into our lives.

Rather than discussing all the places that have shut their doors due to the economy, why don't we take a look what Amarillo has been able to ADD on the restaurant front instead of lost?
