Less than one day after it was reported that police had issued a warrant for her arrest, Tanisha Foster, the mother of Nipsey Hussle's daughter, Emani Asghedom, reportedly learned that the 10-year-old will remain in the custody of the rapper's sister, Samantha Smith.

According to a report TMZ published on Monday evening (May 20), a sealed hearing for the custody case between Nipsey Hussle's sister and Foster was held today, and the outcome was a ruling that Emani would continue living with Smith instead of Foster. Before Nipsey was shot and killed on March 31, Emani had been living with the California rapper and his girlfriend, Lauren London.

The celebrity news site says Foster told them she was "pissed" about the outcome of the case, which is reportedly one rooted in Nipsey's family's belief that Foster wasn't fit to take care of Emani. Foster's lawyer, Larry Lewellyn, says a visitation schedule for Foster is currently being arranged. The next hearing for this case is supposed to take place in July.

Foster is dealing with a warrant for her arrest for apparently missed a May 15 court date related to her three-year probation, which stems from DUI case she caught about two years ago. After she missed the date, her probation was reportedly revoked. It's unknown if that news had anything to do with the ruling issued today.

XXL has reached out to Nipsey's camp for comment.
