Robert Downey, Jr. + Wife Susan Are Expecting a Baby

Congrats to Robert Downey, Jr. and his family! Yesterday (July 9), the Oscar-nominated actor announced that he and his wife Susan are expecting a baby! The couple already have a two-year-old son together, Exton.

Robert took to social media to announce the news, posting a short message on his Facebook page.

"Um. I don't know if it's a 'man's world', but I'm certain women run it. Susan and I are therefore delighted to announce we are expecting a baby. Girl. November. rdj," he wrote.

The actor shared an even briefer announcement on his Twitter page:

Robert Downey, Jr.'s exciting baby announcement comes in the wake of much more serious news. Last week (June 30), the actor's 20-year-old son from a previous relationship, Indio, was arrested for possession of cocaine.

Robert is no stranger to drug addiction, a sentiment he addressed in a statement he released to the media.

“Unfortunately, there is a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it,” Downey said. “Also, there is a lot of family support and understanding, and we’re all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he’s capable of being.”
