Selena Gomez Goes Chola For MTV Europe Music Awards Promo [VIDEO]

Everyone who knows Selena Gomez knows she has a squeaky clean image.  So why is this Disney star dressed like a thug?

From the start of Selena's career on Barney, she has always been a positive role model.  Not only does her work reflect wholesome goodness, but she is involved in so much philanthropy.  From being the youngest UNICEF ambassador to help raise awareness about presidential candidates, Selena is doing everything she can to change the world.

So why is she dressed like a chola?  It's all a spoof on her wholesome image.  Next month Selena will be hosting the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.  The "thugged" out Selena is her alter ego in the promo.

It begins with the Selena we know and love sitting in front of a vanity mirror, looking sweet and innocent, gushing to herself about finally hosting the EMAs.  Then, on the other side of the mirror, a gangsta Selena pops up.  She is dressed in a flannel shirt, that only has the top buttoned fastened, a bandanna, and a rosary tattoo on her hand.

Her alter ego tells her to "shut her face" and begins spitting out some rhymes filled with profanity.  Now the lyrics could have been better, but it is a different Selena than the world is used to seeing.  Who knows, maybe this Chola Selena can team up with Shawty Mane (Justin Bieber's rapping alter ego) and put out an album.
