Two More Arrests Made In Amarillo For Alleged Sex Crimes

I don't know what is happening in the Amarillo area these days, but there has been a rash of sexual crimes that have been taking place lately, and it's growing very concerning.

I'm not sure if these crimes have been happening and there just wasn't a focus on them or not, but it seems to be dominating the headlines these days in the city.

Just the other day we wrote about a man who had over 100 data storage devices with child pornography on them, and now we have yet another one.

An Amarillo man has been accused of downloading child pornography, with some images and/or videos allegedly of children under the age of 10.

John Anthony Premeaux was arrested on Tuesday, October 1 and charged with possession of child pornography. Amarillo got a tip back on September 6th about an image of child pornography was downloaded from a Dropbox back in July. The tip came from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Police traced the IP address back to an address on Center Ave., and the resident of the home confirmed that Premeaux indeed lived there with her in July. Police were able to obtain a search warrant for the Dropbox, and confirmed multiple images were found.

Then Thursday, October 3rd came along and presented us with a new one for us. Dr. Nabarun Ghosh, a professor at West Texas A&M was arrested on charges of indecent assault.

He was arrested in connection with an incident that happened back on September 11th where he's been accused of grabbing the genitals of two people without their consent. According to WTAMU, he has been banned from the campus.

Ghosh has a $1,500 bond that was set, and ordered not to go near nor have any kind of contact with the people involved. He is also not allowed within 200 feet of the WTAMU campus. We do not know if this incident happened on campus with students or not, and WTAMU does not comment on issues such as this.
