Police are investigating a shooting that took place last night on the 1700 block of S Lincoln in Amarillo.  One subject suffered a gunshot wound to his leg, and was transported to the hospital with what is believed to have been a non life-threatening injury.  He was lured out of the house for conversation, and was met with a gun, a conversation he no doubt wanted no part of.

"On April 29, 2014 at approximately 10:50 PM, Amarillo Police officers were dispatched to the area of the 1700 block of S. Lincoln on shots fired.  While en route, they received additional information that a subject was suffering from a gunshot wound on scene.  Investigating officers learned that two H/Ms and a H/F came to the home and asked to speak to the victim.  When he stepped outside, one of the suspects fired at least five shots.  At least one shot struck the victim in the lower leg.  The victim was able to get back into the house.  Officers recovered five 10mm caliber cartridge casings at the scene.  The victim’s injury is not believed to be life-threatening.  The suspect that fired the shots was HM about six feet tall, with a slim build.  He had a beard and a mustache.  He was wearing a gray hooded jacket.  He and the other two people may have left the area in a white four-door vehicle.  No arrests have been made."
