Playoff Baseball Is Back in Amarillo Tonight

The regular season has come to a close, and while many teams have packed up their lockers for a vacation, Amarillo doesn't have the same vibe. Oh no, that's because our Sod Poodles are in the playoffs. That's right...the playoffs.

The Soddies won the second half, and in Minor League Baseball, that's all you need to do. Win a half, get in the playoffs. The Sod Poodles caught fire over the last month or so of the season, refusing to lose, and now they get to chase a championship.

Who Will The Sod Poodles Play

In their way? A team they just recently played about a week ago. The Frisco Roughriders, the AA affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Frisco definitely put up a fight against the Sod Poodles, and I expect nothing less this time around.

Frisco is loaded with some of the Rangers' top prospects, so they won't be an easy out. In a short best-of-three series, it will come down to who has the hottest offense. The Soddies can score runs with the best of them, and they'll need every one of them. They recently played a 14-12 game that had a score resembling a football score, not a baseball score.
