This Is Your St. Patrick’s Day Party Guide For Amarillo
Can you believe we've already entered the month of March? 2024 is flying by and because of it, we've begun to creep up on St. Patrick's Day in Amarillo! This is that one holiday it seems where everyone is simply looking for a good time.
And honestly, that's what it's all about. Hanging out with friends, watching parades, and of course, indulging in those green beers. You could host your own party, but that's not the Irish way. Being in a pub that's loud and raucous is the only way to do it, and there will be plenty of events in Amarillo where you can do that.
So let's not waste any time. Let's figure out where we're throwing down some pints together.
ST. PADDYS PARTY AT PONDASETA BREWING
Thank you Pondaseta for getting the party started on Friday. With St. Patrick's Day falling on a Sunday, we have a rare chance to party all weekend long, and Pondaseta is doing it right. On Friday, March 15, they're doing a double beer release. Their Irish Dry Stout Martin & Martin makes its triumphant return on draft and in six packs, and they'll introduce a brand new red ale they're calling Kilmartin.
Saturday kicks off with the Lone Star Runners Club starting their 7K run right there at the brewery. As the evening progresses, they'll hold a kilt contest with live music starting at 7 pm.
Sunday, THE St. Patrick's Day, they'll tap a specialty Martin & Martin at noon, Rick Todd will be jamming Irish heritage songs from 2-5 pm, and Happy Hour will ensue from 3-6 pm. Pondaseta will be rocking all weekend long.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARTY AT WESTERN HORSEMAN
Their first chance to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with you, The Western Horseman will be serving it up several different ways on Sunday. Live music from Casey Heckman for the lunch crowd from 11 am-2 pm while the dinner crowd will enjoy music from The Cassettes from 7-10 pm.
Music is great, but only with some drinks right? They'll have drink specials going on all day long, not to mention some Irish food classics such as Shepard's Pie and corned beef & cabbage. This is an event you won't want to miss.
THE DRUNKEN OYSTER ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARTY
No fancy name is needed here as The Drunken Oyster is known for throwing some of the best parties in the 806. St. Patrick's Day is no different. Like The Western Horseman, they'll be serving up some Shepard's Pie and corned beef & cabbage so that you won't go hungry.
Drink specials happening all day long, endless green beer, and live music from the A-Town Rockers starting at 7 pm make this a can't-miss event.
MIX N MINGLE SINGLES CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT
Looking to do more than just a ton of day drinking? Then head on out to House Divided on Sunday where Mix N Mingle Singles is hosting a cornhole tournament. It's $15 per player to get into the tournament where there will be cash prizes. They'll be doing a blind draw for teammates, so you could end up with a winning partner, or you may be drinking a little more to lessen the sting of that rookie partner you got.
Either way, you're a winner at this event with $2.50 Michelob Ultra drafts all day, best dress prizes, and food and drink specials happening all day long.
