Curious though we were about The Purge world its other 364 days, we had to wonder about a TV series without its title threat. Thankfully, franchise boss James DeMonaco has purged his old comments, claiming SYFY and USA’s new Purge will indeed purge to its heart’s content.

Syfy’s Sharknado has taken us around the world and into space, so there’s one way this had to end. New reports suggest the absurd and beloved franchise is chomping its teeth to a close, and will travel through time for its ultimate end.

It only took two years, but the worm has finally turned. Syfy has given an official pilot order to a Kevin Bacon-fronted Tremors TV series, continuing the 1990 film legacy that spawned four direct-to-video sequels and a prior TV series.

Because you asked for it, pleaded for it, mailed millions of pounds of chum to your local congressman for it, Sharknado is back and headed to Washington D.C. for a second sequel. The first trailer from Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! has arrived, and yes, a shark lands on the Lincoln Memorial.

We'll admit to not following Syfy's 'Being Human' remake of the UK series bearing the same name, though this is certainly a surprise. The cable network has revealed that season 4 will mark the end of its Sam Witwer-Meaghan Rath-Sam Huntington supernatural drama, but will the final episodes bring the series to an effective close?

Well, we could have seen that coming. A few scant weeks after Syfy's '12 Monkeys' TV pilot had begun casting, so too has the cable network's other high-profile sci-fi adaptation series 'Dominion' been greenlit for a full series. The other day we heard that Syfy had inched closer to adapting Terry GIlliam-Bruce Willis classic '12 Monkeys' into a TV series, and while that project remains in play, the cable network has given an official pilot order to another recognizable genre adaptation. 2010 supernatural actioner 'Legion' will find new life on Syfy as 'Dominion,' but what will change from silver to small screen?
