Today is the big day, and Amarillo is absolutely buzzing. Taylor Swift released her new album "The Life of a Showgirl" today, and there are people taking three-day weekends just so they can sit and listen to the album all day long.

Yes, it's that big of a deal. Every time Taylor releases an album, it's not just another day; it's a holiday. Parties are held, gatherings happen, and this time, Taylor even leaned into it a bit. There are two Taylor events in Amarillo you don't want to miss.

"The Life Of A Showgirl" Listening Party

If you're looking for a place that is going to be littered with fellow Swifties looking to do something wrapped around the album, this is an event you should definitely attend. I would fully expect that by this point, everyone in the place will have memorized the album, and it'll turn into a sing-along.

The Golden Rose Tea Room at 3314 Olsen Blvd. is hosting a listening party wrapped around "The Life of a Showgirl," and it's going to be a good time. You'll get to create a beautiful bouquet (yes, a total play on the title track of the album), sip some hot tea, eat some tasty desserts, all while the album runs on repeat.

Release Party Of A Showgirl At Cinergy

This is the one every Swiftie is already aware of, and amazingly, you can still get in today. Cinergy will be showing the "Release Party of a Showgirl" all weekend long.

It's 90 minutes of Taylor. You're going to see the world premiere of "The Fate Of Ophelia" music video, behind-the-scenes footage, new lyric videos (turning this into a sing-along), and so much more. Tickets are available at Cinergy's website.
